Getting to know Allan…
Allan’s interest in exercise physiology was sparked while training for competitive whitewater kayaking as a teenager. He then pursued this passion academically with a degree in Physical Education at McMaster University. Treatment of conditions such as heart attacks, spinal cord injuries and all types of musculoskeletal dysfunctions lead him to remain for another degree in Physiotherapy and finalize his chosen profession.
Postgraduate training includes formal acupuncture certification, several orthopaedic manual therapy courses, and specialized exercise program design; each of which add to the clinical toolbox of options and experience that he brings to each treatment session. Equally important are the skills of listening, communicating and relating in a way that enlightens and empowers his clients to be better CEOs of their own health.
Allan’s hobbies include hiking, mountain biking, renovating, kayaking, tennis and practically anything outdoors. No matter your job or hobby, chances are that he has either worked as, played with, or treated someone in your situation. After 23 years, helping each new client is still an intriguing and rewarding challenge, whether your goals are sitting without pain, gardening or playing a sport at an elite level.
